Czarina Wilson Logo

Czarina Wilson is an Auckland-based contemporary fashion and textile designer of Tongan, Scottish and New Zealand European heritage. Her multidisciplinary practice draws on more than three decades of experience across fashion, textiles, design and the creative industries, bringing together technical craftsmanship with a thoughtful approach to design.

Her work draws inspiration from her heritage, culture and the world around her, responding to everything from art and music to celebration, social issues and everyday observations. Rather than following a single narrative, each collection reflects a different idea, moment or perspective, explored through material, texture and construction.

Wilson's work has been acquired by the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and Auckland War Memorial Museum, including her New Zealand Fashion Week 2025 opening look, Monomono Factory Work. A recipient of multiple design awards, she continues to develop work that explores the relationship between fashion, textiles and contemporary culture, while remaining committed to craftsmanship and experimentation.
